The Night With… is looking for audio and audiovisual work to be included in our 2027 Festival (27th and 28th February, The Engine Works, Glasgow). 

Submission deadline is the 8th January 2027 and should be made through the submission form below.

The festival will host two full days of concerts presented across two stages, alongside a strand of industry-focused events featuring invited national and international speakers, presenters, and practitioners within the contemporary music industry. 

There will be a number of listening and viewing posts, showcasing the chosen works to our audience, alongside a selection of contemporary music. Powered by Adaptables: Media Timer technology, each post will have headphones and some will have screens, inviting festival goers to dip in and explore the works exhibited.

We are seeking any works that fit within this format. They could be electroacoustic works, experimental visual works, documentation of a staged performance, or any other work that engages with contemporary music and/or contemporary music with visuals.

You are welcome to submit works that engage with the capabilities of the Adaptables: Media Timer, but there is no requirement for these works to be brand new. If you are planning to create a new work please get in touch with an outline of your idea to ensure that it is practical within our production requirements. There is no compensation for the creation of new work. 

Works should be at most 30 minutes long with preference given to shorter works. 

Should your work be selected you will receive a complimentary ticket to the festival. Travel and accommodation will be at the expense of the creator. 

Examples of eligible work include, but are not limited to:

• Electroacoustic & sound art works with or without visuals playable over stereo headphones
• High quality documentation of a staged work
• Experimental video / animation works where audio plays a key role
• Filmed performances or music videos that engage with video and audio as artforms

The following are not eligible:

• Composition documentation 
• Acoustic studio recordings for album release
